Article: Think College!: A Prelude to Progress: The Evolution of Postsecondary Education for Students with Intellectual Disabilities

This article provides a historical overview of postsecondary education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It discusses the impact that laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Higher Education Opportunity Act have had on the evolution of postsecondary education. Additionally, the authors identify some of challenges that currently exist in the field and examine what lies ahead in the future.
