Article: The National Center on Educational Outcomes: Earning a High School Diploma through Alternative Routes

This study examines the alternative routes to passing the high school exit exam that are available to students, specifically students with disabilities, to earn a standard high school diploma. It provides information on exit exams, legal issues, and profiles of 26 states that offer alternative routes for students. It identifies the exam process, requirements for a high school diploma, and alternative options available to students in each state.
