Toolkit: National Autism Association – Big Red Safety Toolkit for First Responders

This toolkit was developed as a part of the National Autism Association’s FOUND Program, dedicated to wandering prevention and bringing children and adults with autism home safely. This toolkit is designed to educate first responders about autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the behaviors that individuals with ASD may exhibit. It includes wandering statistics, a first responder checklist, and strategies to help first responders effectively respond and interact with individuals with ASD.
