Guide: Institute for Community Inclusion: Moving on to High School
This tip sheet is designed to help parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities transition from middle school to high school. It is based on the experiences of students with disabilities in public schools age 14-17, and their families. All the students had Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and all were moving on from the middle school grades to high school (9th grade).
