Self-Advocacy groups are run by individuals with disabilities, but sometimes it can be a challenge because of the great demand when running an organization or committee. This is where the role of an advisor comes in because they believe in the same values as self-advocates. They give support by helping self-advocates better understand information and to be better prepared for the work at hand. Come join the leaders and allies of the self-advocacy movement for a rich discussion on how to use advisors effectively. The webinar will provide tips on how to train and give feedback to advisors and allies.
