This peer-to-peer guide is intended to help individual with disabilities recognize and respond to abuse. It provides definitions of important terms such as domestic violence, sexual violence, perpetrator, victim, consent and more. It provides steps to take in different situations such as what to do when responding to harassment, sexual abuse, reports of rape, and emotional abuse.

This guide is designed to help individuals in faith-based communities understand the needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Guide: U.S. Department of Labor: Building an Inclusive Workforce

This tool, developed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), provides an outline of four simple steps to increasing workforce inclusion. It is intended to help employers know how to effectively recruit, retain and advance individuals with disabilities. Fact Sheet: Sexuality & Disability Consortium: Myths and Misperceptions of Disability and Sexuality

Website: Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism Training

Through the network of 20 regional Education Service Centers (ESCs) around the state and in conjunction with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism Training provides a mechanism to access training, technical assistance, support, and resources for educators who serve students with autism. Resources include fact sheets, online trainings, and toolkits.

This website provides comprehensive, up-to-date, and useful information on autism to educators and families who support individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Developed by the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incident (OCALI) in partnership with many other organizations including the Autism Society of America, all modules are free and accessible online. Some topics include bullying, speech generating devices, preparing individuals for employment, sensory differences, person-centered planning, and much more.
