Special Needs Theater Camp, Alabama

This musical theatre camp for special needs students will begin with improvisation and role-playing games, move on to scripted sessions and culminate in the performance of scenes from a play. The overall objective of the camp is to help students with social perception and social interaction skills, as well as to have fun in a safe setting. Students with autism and other disabilities often struggle with social interaction, communication and flexibility of imagination. This workshop will help us stretch ourselves in these areas! The course will include practicing-pretending, singing, drama-based games, and rhythm work with poetry, and performance puppetry.
