Report: Making it Work initiative on gender and disability inclusion: Advancing equity for women and girls with disabilities

Gender-based violence is a global concern. The international community has just agreed to work towards the elimination of all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including traf cking and sexual and other types of exploitation. That commitment adopted by the UN in the new Sustainable Development Goals, would not be achieved unless the situation of violence against women and girls with disabilities are taking into account. Leaving no one behind means looking at the speci c forms of violence that these women face and at how to design—with them–the best solutions to prevent and eradicate such violence and abuse.
