Fact Sheet: Postsecondary Education and Employment Outcomes for Youth with Intellectual Disabilities

This fact sheet, provided by the State Data project, shows how postsecondary education helps people with intellectual disabilities attain better employment outcomes. It compares employment outcomes of youth with intellectual disabilities who participated in post secondary education compared to those youth with intellectual disabilities who did not participate. Results indicate that the youths who participated in postsecondary education were more likely to attain employment, as well as earn a higher weekly income.
