Fact Sheet: Effective Communication

This fact sheet explains the revised Americans with Disabilities Act Title II and Title III regulations pertaining to auxiliary aids and services. It states that public entities and private businesses are obligated to furnish appropriate auxiliary aids and services to provide effective communication to individuals with disabilities, as well as their companions. It provides a list of assistive devices and addresses regulations associated with sign language interpreters and telecommunications.
